# Code of Conduct Oakland Tech Week is committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. ## Our Standards We expect all participants to: - Be respectful and inclusive - Use welcoming and inclusive language - Be respectful of differing viewpoints and experiences - Accept constructive criticism gracefully - Focus on what is best for the community - Show empathy towards other community members ## Unacceptable Behavior The following behaviors are considered harassment and are unacceptable: - The use of sexualized language or imagery - Trolling, insulting/derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks - Public or private harassment - Publishing others' private information without explicit permission - Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting ## Reporting If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior, please report it by contacting us at hello@oaklandtechweek.com. All reports will be handled with discretion and confidentiality. ## Enforcement Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
